This was really a 'naah' book for me. I didn't like it that much, I felt like the characters were hollow and they reacted kind of strangely in some situations.
There were this one word that L.J. Smith put on basicly EVERY SINGLE PAGE! It kept repeating itself over and over again and that gets kind of annoying after a while.
I guess the story itself was kind of good and I liked how the book switched perspectives between all these different characters and I really enjoyed Stefan's and Damon's flashbacks to, like, the fourteenth century.
I've had these books on my bookshelf for a long time just because my mom bought them when she crazed over the TV-series and then realized that she couldn't read on english so I got them instead, and even though I didn't like this book that much I think I will continue with the series sometime just to see what happens, but i'm gonna read alot of other books first.
If I could go back in time I probobly wouldn't have picked this up again but people are different so you might like this book alot more than I did :)
