Plot:
There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

Review:
I first picked up this book just because everyone says it's soo good and yadayadayada....

I have to admit though, I was very dissapointed, up until I had about 150 pages left I thought I'd give this 3 stars. It wasn't much, just this girl starting a new school, meeting friends, having boy problems and so forth.
But in those last 150 everything changed!
You got dozens of questions answered and those characters that always was a little bit blurry came into place perfectly.

Usually I like the heroines in basicly avery book I read but Luce actually got to nerve. I really can't put my finger on it but I didn't like her as a character. I loved the others though, Daniel, Arriane, Penn...

I liked the plot and the story very much and i'm hoping that the second book 'torment' will be more exiting :)
