The host is one of the very few books I've read more than once. Before I found goodreads and really got into books I was 100% sure that The host was the best book in the history of the universe. (This was also pre-Harry Potter xD)
It was a long time now, since I read the book so I can't really remember all that much, but I do remember how I felt about Ian.
Gosh I was so in love with him.
"It's not the face, but the expressions on it. It's not the voice, but what you say. It's not how you look in that body, but the things you do with it. You are beautiful."
"I held you in my hands, wanderer, and you were so beautiful."
4. Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games
I haven't read Mockingjay yet and alot of people say that they change their mind about the whole Peeta/Gale thing in the third book but I honestly don't think I'd ever give up Peeta for Gale.
I never disliked Gale, not at all, I just.. never fell in love with him the way I fell for Peeta.
MY boy with the bread *drools*
"Remember, we're madly in love, so it's all right to kiss me anytime you feel like it."
“Only I keep wishing I could think of a way to…to show the Capitol they don’t own me. That I’m more than just a piece in their Games”
3. Magnus Bane from The mortal instruments and The infernal devices
Magnus is just so... fun. He's so fun to read about.
His sparkling character and witty jokes makes a huge part of the wonderful-ness of Cassandra Clare's books. He's just... Magnus :)
"I’d say it’s been nice meeting you all, but, in fact, it hasn’t. It’s been quite awkward, and frankly, the next time I see a single one of you will be far too soon."
And I love that about you, though I would also love you if you owned, perhaps, one designer suit. What do you say? Dolce? Zegna? Armani?
2. Alejandro Fuentes from Perfect Chemistry
I fell in love with Alex the instant I "met" him. He's cocky but in a very, very sweet way. I don't think anyone can NOT love Alex.
I love how he is with his younger brothers, he messes with them alot and likes to blame stuff on them but when it comes to serious things, he's so protective of them and he really loves them.
And the way he is around Brittany. Oh my, he's so sweet. So, so sweet. And people are so judging, dammit, I can imagine the way Brittany's mother looked when he showed up on their doorstep. And he was really hurt but didn't want to show it.
Ahh, Alex <33
"I want to know how to make this girl laugh. I want to know what makes her cry. I want to know what it feels like to have her look at me as if I’m her knight in shinning armor"
"I want to tell her how much she's become the center of my being. But I can't. The words won't come."
"If there's one thing I learned, it's that nobody is here forever. You have to live for the moment, each and every day . . . the here, the now"
1. Jace from The mortal instruments
Jace. Jace is...
Jace. Gah, there's no words!
My love for this boy is much like any other The mortal instruments fangirl's is; forever.
Clary:"Is this the part where you start tearing off strips of your shirt to bind my wounds?"
Jace:"If you wanted me to rip my clothes off, you should have just asked."
"Have you fallen in love with the wrong person yet?'
Jace said, "Unfortunately, Lady of the Haven, my one true love remains myself."
..."At least," she said, "you don't have to worry about rejection, Jace Wayland."
"Not necessarily. I turn myself down occasionally, just to keep it interesting."
"Waiting for a special occasion to kill me? Christmas is coming."
"There is no pretending," Jace said with absolute clarity. "I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I'll love you then."
"I don't want to be a man," said Jace. "I want to be an angst-ridden teenager who can't confront his own inner demons and takes it out verbally on other people instead."
"Well," said Luke, "you're doing a fantastic job."
"I am a man" he told her, "and men do not consume pink beverages. Get thee gone woman, and bring me something brown."
